In March I went with my husband's aunt and cousin to a nearby park for some bridal shots. She was getting married in about 3 weeks and hadn't gotten her portraits done yet. This was an extra-special event because Amanda was wearing her mom's wedding dress. What an awesome moment!! Her mom got misty a few times, but was such a huge help with the shoot. We had a blast! We utilized that park to the best of our ability! We then went to the church where the wedding would be and we were able to get a few more shots there. Amanda was such a trooper! It was a long afternoon of shooting and she still kept smiling!

Garrett: Family
My husband's aunt and her granddaughters did a shoot with me in February. It was a bit chilly out that day so we were forced to do the majority of the pictures inside. These girls are so funny to take pictures of. They're always doing something silly! We were also able to get the pictures of Xandra in the tub. Her grandmother had pictures of all the grandkids, nieces, and nephews in the tub...except Xandra.

Giving Thanks
Okay, so last Thanksgiving my husband's entire immediate family - and quite a bit of the extended family - was all together in the same place for the first time in about two years or so. His aunt decided to take advantage of the opportunity and had me do a photo shoot of all the family! Here are some of my favorite shots.

Peter. Peter, Pumpkin Eater
In September '08 I headed to the local pumpkin patch with my son, husband, nephews, sister-in-law, and brother-in-law. We headed to the patch with one mission in mind...not to pick the perfect pumpkin, but to get the perfect picture! It was a brisk, yet sunny day and the kids were such troopers!

Dan and Margie: Wedding
Last August I flew to California for my brother's wedding. Everything was amazing! Margie and Dan had a BEAUTIFUL, sunny day and everything was picture perfect- literally! I was not there for photography really. I was there to merely observe, but I had told my brother I'd second-shoot some for him during the reception. As you can see, we had fun during the reception - it was great!
Margie and her dad danced to "I Loved Her First". It was such a sweet time
